Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate)

The Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) is a six-year professional degree designed for students who have completed their 12th standard in Science. It equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become clinical pharmacists. The curriculum covers a range of subjects such as pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and more. The programme combines traditional classroom instruction with hands-on training, ensuring that students can apply their learning in real-world pharmacy settings.

The course is structured into two phases over three years. Phase I consists of the first and second years, which focus on academic coursework. Phase II, which takes place in the third year, involves an internship or residency where students gain practical experience in speciality units. This practical training helps students develop the skills needed to work independently as clinical pharmacists.

Upon completing the programme, graduates are eligible to take the licensure examination required to practice as pharmacists across the country. They can pursue careers in clinical pharmacy, regulatory affairs, drug safety, or research.
