B.Des. (Visual Communication Design)
The B.Des. (Visual Communication Design) at MIT-WPU is a dynamic programme blending key elements of visual communication design including film design. It focuses on graphic design, typography, branding, digital media, photography, and introduces essential aspects of film and motion design. The curriculum integrates design principles with digital technologies, emphasising visual storytelling in various sectors such as marketing, education, and entertainment. Students engage in practical projects encompassing brand identity, web design, animation, and film production, AR-VR technology, enhancing skills in conceptual thinking and visual narrative. Workshops on the latest software and tools, including cinematography and editing, enrich the learning experience, keeping pace with industry trends like augmented reality and interactive design.
The programme promotes independent thinking and innovation through internships, live projects, and national and international study tours. A research-driven approach explores the cultural and psychological aspects of design, preparing students for careers in advertising, digital marketing, film production, and more. Emphasising entrepreneurship and creativity, the programme builds strong industry connections, preparing students to meet the evolving demands of the visual communication and film design industry.

To continue the scholarship for the entire duration of the programme, a minimum level of the academic score has to be maintained at an 8.5 CGPA across all semesters attendance is to be maintained at a minimum of 80 percent there should be no disciplinary action against the student.
Minimum 50% aggregate score in 10+2/Class 12th in any stream with compulsory English as a subject or in equivalent examination (at least 45% marks, in case of Reserved Class category candidate belonging to Maharashtra State only)
AND Valid score in MIT-WPU CET 2024 / UCEED 2024 / NIFT 2024 / NATA 2024 / NID 2024
Admissions will be provided purely based on merit of MIT-WPU CET 2024 / UCEED 2024 / NIFT 2024 / NATA 2024 / NID 2024 score, Personal Interaction (PI) and Portfolio Review as per the schedule.
