Bio
Dr. Manasi Mishra is an Associate Professor in Biosciences & Technology. She completed her Ph.D in Biotechnology from CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, and received a short-term DAAD fellowship to conduct collaborative research at EMBL Hamburg, Germany. Her exceptional work in the field of biotechnology has earned her several prestigious fellowships, including the DST-INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship award from the Department of Science & Technology, and the Indo-Australian Career Boosting Gold Fellowships from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
Dr. Mishra has a keen interest in plant immunity proteins and peptides, and her research has been focused on the structure-function correlation of diverse plant defense proteins, molecular diversity, and their functional significance. She is also actively working in the areas of protein/peptide engineering for therapeutic applications. Her valuable contributions to the field of biotechnology have helped advance the understanding of plant defense mechanisms and have the potential to impact the development of new therapeutic treatments.
