Bio
Dr. Kul Vaibhav Sharma holds a Ph.D. in Water Resources with a specialization in Remote Sensing & GIS and an M.Tech. in Urban Planning from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. He obtained his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University Kota. With 2 years of teaching experience and 2.5 years of industry experience, he currently teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students in the areas of Environment, Transportation, Internet of Things, and Surveying by Remote Sensing. Dr. Sharma is skilled in using remote sensing software such as ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, ENVI, ESA SNAP, as well as 2D drafting by Auto CAD, Civil 3D, statistical software such as Minitab, SPSS, and construction management software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera. His research interests are in remote surveying, land use / land cover identification, interpolation of Earth’s surface features, urban heat island effects, prediction of Earth’s surface bio-physical parameters, active & passive remote sensing, and practical applications of remote sensing using multiple soft computing skills. He has published 14 research papers in Peer Reviewed International Journals, 2 Book chapters, and presented 7 papers in international conferences.
