Bio

Dr. Chinmay D. Deshmukh is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacology in the School of Health Sciences and Technology at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Kothrud, Pune, India. He holds a B.Pharm degree from the Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Borgaon (Meghe), Wardha, Maharashtra, which he completed in 2005 with first division. Later, in 2007, he completed the Executive Master’s Program in Pharmacy Management (MBA) from Mitcon Institute of Management, Balewadi, Pune, Maharashtra. He also holds a Master of Pharmacy degree in Pharmacology, which he completed in 2009 with first division from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, Karnataka. He has been teaching for the last 14 years and completed his Ph.D. in Pharmacology in 2017 from Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research (PAHER), Udaipur, Rajasthan.

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Deshmukh has passed 30 and 40 words per minute typing exams and has participated in various extracurricular activities and social work. He has attended nearly 80 conferences and workshops across India and has worked as an organizing committee member for several national and international conferences. He has also attended faculty development programs, NBA/ISO workshops, and various social and religious programs conducted by the World Peace University. He has contributed various articles to college magazines, published 21 articles, and authored one book chapter. He has also presented two poster presentations.

Dr. Deshmukh has served as an external examiner, external senior supervisor, and expert assistant in Savitribai Phule Pune University's practical examinations for the B.Pharm course. He has moderated the Pathophysiology subject and handled the catering committee for various college-level programs. He has also handled maintenance (Electrical/Plumbing/Civil) portfolios for the last 10 years and has been handling student feedback for the last 3 years. He is currently the sports and library coordinator and is responsible for M.Pharm seminar coordination and Yoga coordination works. He has also contributed to the development of the museum and animal house of the School. Dr. Deshmukh has guided students in undergraduate projects and is currently a mentor to students and the laboratory in-charge of two laboratories in his department. He recently participated, conducted, and coordinated an industrial visit to NuLife Pharmaceuticals, MIDC area, Bhosari Pune, on 30/03/2022. He was also selected to participate in ""Dubai Expo-2022,"" which was focused on the themes of opportunity, mobility, and sustainability. During the visit, he visited 25 pavilions of Germany, India, Peru, USA, Saudi Arabia, Alif, and France, along with local sightseeing in Dubai.
