Shubharambh 2024, the grand induction festival of MIT-WPU, commenced with a vibrant preface by the anchor, setting the tone for an inspiring day. The ceremonial lamp lighting followed by a rendition of the World Peace Prayer infused the atmosphere with a sense of serenity and purpose. The Welcome Address by the Vice-Chancellor emphasised the rich legacy and visionary mission of MIT-WPU, resonating deeply with the audience.

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) highlighted the university's commitment to internationalisation and academic excellence, while the Pro Vice-Chancellor captivated the audience with insights into research, innovation, and the university's unique Social Leadership Development Program (SLDP). The Registrar provided essential guidelines on the code of conduct, safety, and the importance of the World Peace Prayer.

An impressive film showcasing MIT-WPU's methodologies left a lasting impact, followed by addresses from respective division deans and the Student Council President, outlining critical aspects such as anti-ragging policies, sports, student clubs, and the research culture.

Esteemed addresses by Revered Prof (Dr.) Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder President - MIT-WPU and Shri Rahul V. Karad, Managing Trustee and Executive President - MIT-WPU was met with resounding applause, reaffirming the university's ethos and aspirations. The Vote of Thanks expressed heartfelt gratitude, leading to the Pasaydan and a vibrant cultural program that celebrated diversity and creativity.

After the main event, new students at MIT-WPU took part in a series of essential activities to familiarise themselves with the campus. Academic registration in classrooms ensured their official enrollment, followed by department visits and laboratory tours that showcased the advanced facilities available for their studies. The library and examination department orientation sessions provided crucial insights into accessing resources and understanding the examination procedures.

The orientation included mentoring sessions on Universal Human Values, emphasising ethical and moral principles. Students explored university facilities such as sports complexes, yoga and meditation centres, and recreational areas. The Mentor-Mentee Orientation and Student Buddy interaction fostered a supportive community, while sessions on extra-curricular activities highlighted opportunities for personal growth. The day concluded with students signing the discipline undertaking and participating in report writing and feedback sessions, reflecting on their experiences and contributing to continuous improvement.

In addition to the scheduled activities, various student clubs organised vibrant stalls showcasing their achievements and the opportunities they offer. These stalls provided new students with a glimpse into the diverse range of clubs available at MIT-WPU, from academic and professional societies to cultural and recreational groups. This initiative was aimed at informing and familiarising the new batch with the numerous extracurricular options, encouraging them to join clubs that align with their interests and passions, thereby enriching their university experience.

The enthusiasm of the new students and their parents was palpable, reflecting their excitement and anticipation for the journey ahead. Shubharambh 2024 concluded on a high note, leaving everyone energised and inspired for the academic year.
