Bio

Dr. Krishna Warhade is an accomplished educator and researcher, with over 27 years of experience in teaching and research. He completed his PhD with specialization in communications and signal processing from IIT Bombay and currently serves as a Professor at School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University (MITWPU), Pune.

Dr. Warhade has held various administrative positions, including the Dean of Research and Doctoral Program at MITWPU, Pune, and Vice President of Institutions Innovation Council (Part of MHRD’s Innovation Cell) at MITWPU. He was also the SPOC from MITWPU for Smart India Hackathon organized by MHRD, AICTE, i4C and Persistent from 2017 to 2021. Dr. Warhade has also served as the Remote Center Coordinator for MHRD-IIT Bombay National Mission on Education through ICT from MITWPU.

He is the author of the book titled “Video Shot Boundary Detection,” co-authored by Dr. S. N. Merchant (Professor IIT Bombay), and Dr. U. B. Desai, Director IIT Hyderabad, published by River Publishers, Denmark. Dr. Warhade has also contributed a chapter to the book titled “Research Methodology, A practical and scientific-based approach,” published by CRC Press, Taylor and Francis.

Dr. Warhade has published a total of 27 papers in international journals and 17 papers in international conferences. He has guided 22 M.Tech students and two Ph.D. students and is currently guiding five Ph.D. students. He has completed several collaborative projects, including ""Intelligent Health Monitoring System for the Point Machine"" with Konkan Railway, ""Missing Children"" with Blackberry, ""Carbon footprint App development"" with TERRE policy center, and ""Air Quality Index App development"" with IITM.

Dr. Warhade has received numerous awards and recognition, including the ""Ideal Teacher Award"" in 2019 from MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions. He holds two international patents and three copyrights to his credit, and his research interests include communications, signal processing, and machine learning."
